Games cafe

hi to all. I’m Aidah from Games and Entertainment Technologies class GETC204. Basically this is my first post. I like gaming. Consoles, card games, board games online games and the like. Been quite sick so have not been able to post. Furthermore, projects and also term test coming up next week. kind of stressed up actually.

anyways, my main focus for this post would the time where the GET classes went to the games cafe. Purpose for the trip was to expose us to the different kinds of board and card games. I guess, in a way, it was to help us in the board game making project that we are involved in currently by seeing how different games work and all.

My group was playing this game called ‘Ugly’. It was quite a violent game. It was something similar like snap. Each person had to pick a card from the pile that was on the table and put it face up. It goes clockwise. It is basically random cards and if anyone sees three of a kind they are supposed to take it. It does not matter if you take one of the three or you get all of it because how u won this game is the collective of cards at the end of the game. I think one of my group mate actually hit Mr Gary in the process. Bottom line, it was a very violent game.

We gad a lot of fun at the games cafe. We also got to learn to play different kinds of games and i consider it a privilege. will put up photos soon.
